Zacapa 23 is a a complex and full-bodied dark rum. Aged in ex-American Whiskey and ex-Sherry casks between 6 and 23 years, it delivers flavour notes of raisined fruit. Zacapa 23 can be enjoyed neat, on the rocks or to give classic cocktails like an Old-Fashioned a delicious twist. It has a sweet honeyed viscosity more reminiscent of a liqueur than an aged spirit; a great depth of raisined fruit and apricot preserves, building to an intense heart of savoury oak, nutmeg, with notes of coffee and delicately sweet vanilla, balanced with a spicy touch of cinnamon and ginger on the pleasantly astringent finish; truly a rum for the discerning palate.
